What to Expect
Step 1: Reserve Your Visit
Schedule a virtual GLP-1 weight management evaluation with Oregon Telemed.
A $30 booking deposit is collected when you schedule your initial appointment and is applied toward the cost of your first 60 days of care.
The $30 is not an additional fee.
You must be physically located in Oregon at the time of your telehealth appointment.
Step 2: Meet With an Oregon-Licensed Provider
During your initial visit, your provider will review your health history, current medications, allergies, weight management goals, and other factors that may affect whether GLP-1 treatment is appropriate.
Some patients may also need laboratory testing based on their individual health history and treatment needs.
Step 3: Review Your Treatment Plan
If treatment is appropriate, your provider will explain your treatment plan, including:
- How to take your medication
- What to expect after starting
- Possible side effects
- What symptoms to watch for
- Follow-up recommendations
- When to contact your provider or pharmacist
Medication is not guaranteed and is prescribed only when clinically appropriate.
Step 4: Receive Medication & Pharmacy Support
If medication is prescribed, Broadway Apothecary will coordinate your compounded sublingual tirzepatide medication and delivery.
You’ll also have access to pharmacy support for medication-related questions and guidance.
The standard starting plan includes approximately a 60-day medication supply.
Step 5: Check In & Continue Care
During your first 60 days, Oregon Telemed will send a one-month check-in survey to see how treatment is going.
If you are doing well, an additional provider visit may not be necessary at that time.
If you are experiencing side effects, have concerns, or need additional medical guidance, a telehealth visit can be scheduled when appropriate.
After the initial treatment period, patients who are doing well may continue with approximately one maintenance telehealth visit every 60 days.
